OneTake 8.7: Simplifying Video Styles & Editing

  • Welcome to this session of The Real Time with OneTake AI.
  • Today, I'm going to explain what is new in OneTake AI eight point seven.
  • But first, a quick reminder of what's been new since the last time we shipped OneTake AI eight point six, Freezer Soldier.
  • The first new item was that OneTake AI now compresses your video before starting the upload.
  • This makes it much faster for you to upload videos if you are recording them on mobile or with a constrained internet connection.
  • And you will notice this as the first step if you upload a large file.

Automatic compression

  • So let me just find a large file to upload,
  • and you will notice that OneTake AI is going to tell me it will compress it.
  • Let's see if it happens.
  • This is not a large file, so it's going to go straight.
  • So it was supposed to do compression, but I gave the wrong file.
  • It was very short.

Edit while uploading

  • The second thing that was new is that as OneTake AI is doing the edit and uploading,
  • you can modify any of the changes to the settings for the instant editing pipeline.
  • So you can say, well, for this specific video, I don't want subtitles,
  • and maybe I want the video to be horizontal, sixty-nine.
  • And this is useful because I'll give you an example.
  • When I upload these episodes of The Real Time, I will launch the upload,
  • and while it's doing so, I'm going to say, "For this video, I don't want subtitles,"
  • which I typically do on all of my videos,
  • but not on the replays because I already have the slides and the screen share.
  • So this makes it easy for you to change the editing preferences while it's uploading.

Personal B-roll library

  • The second thing that is new is that OneTake AI keeps a personal library of your B-roll and images that you upload
  • so that you can reuse them in any project.
  • So I'm going to show you what it looks like.
  • If you go inside a OneTake AI project,
  • you are able in the script, if you click Edit, to add B-roll.
  • So this already has B-roll.
  • If I hit Replace, I can search for anything that I would like here.
  • So I could say we're looking for a woman grocery shopping.
  • I can say I want a woman leading a conference.

Search by emotion

  • And I can find anything that my mind could want for my video.
  • If I don't know what the visual is going to be,
  • then I can say what emotion I want to show,
  • and then OneTake AI will find the image.
  • So I can say, "The joys of parenting and a teenager,"
  • and OneTake AI can look for something that visualizes this.

Upload custom B-roll

  • So it's going to pick one.
  • Or if I have my very specific B-roll that I want to upload,
  • I can do this and say, well, I have my file on my computer that I want to use.
  • Maybe I have an image of my daughter kayaking,
  • and I'm going to say, "Alice kayaking with her dad, Sébastien Night."
  • And I will name it like this
  • so that it's easy to find later for me or my team when they go into the library.

Organize your Library

  • Because we now have this tab called Library,
  • which shows all the previous things that you have uploaded,
  • and that includes the kayaking video.
  • I uploaded it earlier for the French demo.
  • And so I'm able to find easily all of my B-roll.
  • So you can find it when you are using the B-roll feature,
  • or if you go to the left-hand menu, you can see here Library.
  • And if you click on it,
  • this is the database of all the images and videos that you have imported into OneTake AI
  • so that you're able to reuse them.

Naming best practices

  • If you click on one of them,
  • then you're able to see it, rename it,
  • this is the name of the file,
  • and fix the description so that it's easy to find.
  • Obviously, you can upload things and call them File zero zero one.
  • You call them A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
  • But then once you have fifteen,
  • you will be mad at yourself for not having the foresight to give them explicit descriptions.
  • And also, in the future, we plan to make it possible for OneTake AI to pick the most relevant custom B-roll for new videos that you upload.
  • And so giving them the details of what the video is,

Smarter B-roll selection

  • like I did here, this is Sébastien Night, which is me as a keynote speaker at conferences, workshops, and seminars with a smiling audience,
  • so that in the future, OneTake AI will be able to know that if in a video I am saying that over the past fifteen years I have coached more than three hundred thousand entrepreneurs through seminars, online courses, challenges, etc.,
  • then it will know that this would be a good B-roll to use.
  • And then we have multiple experience improvements in this version of OneTake AI as well.
  • Notably, OneTake AI is able not only to add B-roll, but also royalty-free images.
  • We have a gigantic library of images.
  • It removes background music.
  • If you recorded in a noisy place that had background music,
  • it is now removed by default.
  • If you have had your OneTake AI account for a while,

Audio and image upgrades

  • if you are one of our pioneer customers or lifetime deal customers,
  • I would highly recommend that you go to the settings of your account
  • and check in the advanced tab that all of the audio remastering settings are turned on.
  • Because
  • If you turned them off,
  • we did not turn them back on to force them on you.
  • But these are really great.
  • They do a fantastic job,
  • so it is worth checking to make sure that you are using the best settings for your video.
  • OneTake AI now makes it possible to add B-roll or images to moments in the video that were silent.

Bug fixes and tweaks

  • It wasn't possible before.
  • Before, you could only add B-roll when somebody was talking.
  • But now, even if there is just music or nobody's talking,
  • you are able to do it.
  • And then we fixed a few bugs.
  • There was a bug where when OneTake AI edited and made more changes to the videos as you requested,
  • it might drop some B-roll.
  • It does not happen anymore.
  • And we had a short bug where it was not possible to download the edited video,
  • and this has been fixed.

Introducing the script editor

  • Today, I'm here to tell you about everything that's new in OneTake AI eight point seven, code name Combatant.
  • And the first thing is the new script editor.
  • We are making it much easier for you to edit, merge, delete, and split sentences and words inside the video.
  • So let me show you.
  • If I open a project,
  • By default, when OneTake AI edits the video,
  • it will show me the preview and then the customization options.
  • I can click Edit Script, and this is the new editor.

Script editor demo

  • I will click Edit.
  • Here it's showing me the things that have been deleted.
  • I can show what's deleted or not, right?
  • And now we can do something we couldn't do before,
  • which is if we want to merge two sentences,
  • we can just use our keyboard to do this.

Edit like a text editor

  • We can split them as well,
  • so we can hit Enter on the keyboard to do this.
  • So I could say, "Pour les coachs," "For the experts," and for the creators,
  • I can do three lines so that they are separate in the video.
  • And it is also much easier to delete entire segments of the video.
  • I can select multiple sentences at a time, hit Delete on my keyboard,
  • and this will delete all of that from the video.

Global text corrections

  • So I just deleted all of this in one go.
  • So OneTake AI now makes it much easier to select multiple words across sentences and apply the changes,
  • so that it's much faster to work on the script as if you're working in a text editor.
  • OneTake AI now also lets you correct a word or phrase across the entire script with one click.
  • So I'm going to show you here.
  • So let's say I wanted to replace the word OneTake AI,
  • and I write, I spelled it differently just to show it.
  • So if I say OneTake AI in all caps,
  • if I just click Correct, it will fix just this occurrence of the word here.

Undo and redo safely

  • But if I had clicked Correct All,
  • if I do OneTake AI like this, and I click Correct All,
  • it's going to change the word across the entire video.
  • So it should be case insensitive, so let's do it again.
  • If I do it here, Correct All, then it's fixed everywhere across the video.
  • Next.
  • OneTake AI lets you undo and reinstate changes in the script editor.
  • So for the changes that I just did, I can undo them,
  • and so there is no more risk of making a mistake here after spending five minutes making tens of changes,
  • and then if you make one mistake, not knowing if you should save or cancel and start from scratch.

Copy transcript workflow

  • Now you can just undo one thing at a time,
  • and you can, of course, redo,
  • so you can do it back.
  • So this also makes your work easier.
  • OneTake AI lets you copy the transcript.
  • So this is useful because many of our users are using OneTake AI to create blog posts from the video or a PDF.
  • So I'm going to open a word editor on my computer.
  • So before, it used to be that you needed to share the link, copy the transcript on that page, and so on.

Download subtitles easily

  • Now it's much easier.
  • You can just click this button.
  • So you go to Edit Script, and you have this Copy Transcript button.
  • You can copy it,
  • and then if you open any other software, you can paste it there.
  • So in order to create a blog post, for example, this is very practical.
  • You can also download the script as a subtitles file, which is an SRT file.
  • So if you just click Download Subtitles,
  • it will ask you where to save it,

Transcripts for platforms

  • and then it will download it with your browser's download feature.
  • So this makes it much easier for some platforms that like you to provide a transcript.
  • YouTube likes it a lot, and Facebook likes it if you are uploading ads.
  • Something that is new is that OneTake AI allows you to choose your video format.
  • So a video can have multiple aspect ratios.
  • It can be horizontal, but horizontal widescreen, like a YouTube video.
  • Horizontal four-thirds, like a 1990s TV.
  • It can be square, like a lot of short content used for ads.
  • It can be four-fifths, which is slightly vertical.

Multiple aspect ratios

  • This is for an Instagram post.
  • And it can be nine-sixteen, which is vertical.
  • So let's look at this video.
  • This original was horizontal, and we can-

Switch formats instantly

  • We can choose to make it square.
  • We can choose to make it vertical.
  • So now you're able to export in the video format that your platform likes the most,
  • which means the exact same video without changing the style.

Screen share demo

  • You're able to change the look and feel of the video.
  • And I'm going to pick...
  • Let's take an English language video for you.
  • Okay, I have this project.
  • Hi, I'm Sébastien Night, founder of OneTake AI.
  • So you can see the style that has the subtitles appear.

Dynamic subtitles demo

  • Yeah, now it's good.
  • So you can see this video.
  • I am recording this video so you can see a before and after.
  • You see, OneTake is the world's first AI-
  • So it has dynamic subtitles at the bottom.
  • And so I can keep the style, which is the influencer style, and change the format,
  • and say I would like the video to feel the same way, same transitions, display the text with the same look,
  • but do it inside of a square video this time.
  • And OneTake will instantly do it for me.
  • Hi, I'm Sébastien Night, founder of OneTake AI.

Same style, any format

  • I could do the same for a vertical video.
  • horizontal,
  • I just switched from vertical.
  • And so it's still the same style and the same colors.
  • Hi, I am Sébastien Night, founder of OneTake AI.
  • I am recording this video so you can see a before and after.
  • You see-
  • Okay, so OneTake is now able to switch between the aspect ratios of the edited video.
  • So now every video style follows the format that you choose,
  • which was not the case before.

Support for non-standard ratios

  • Before, we had specific styles that were horizontal.
  • Other styles were vertical,
  • and you could not say, "I want the one with the subtitles but for my YouTube horizontal video."
  • Now you can.
  • OneTake also supports non-standard aspect ratios,
  • so it will adapt to the video that you give it.
  • Before we did this shift,
  • OneTake forced your video to be one of several standard formats.
  • But if now you upload the video,
  • this is for example, video that is twenty-one nines,

Ultra wide support

  • so it is ultra wide screen, like a cinema, shaped,
  • so it's wider than the normal wide screen video.
  • If I upload this into OneTake, it will now work where-
  • In the past, OneTake would have cropped the video and cut the sides
  • so that the video would fit into the mold of a regular horizontal video.

New social styles

  • We have also shipped new styles for social media.
  • We have two new styles called Minimalist and Impact,
  • specifically to help you publish on Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
  • Here's what they look like.
  • So the style that you are used to is this one in- Hi.
  • I'm Sébastien Night, founder of OneTake AI
  • And the new styles are here in video style,
  • and they are Minimalist and Impact.

Minimalist style demo

  • So let's see Minimalist.
  • Hi.
  • I'm Sébastien Night, founder of OneTake AI.
  • I am recording this video so you can see a before and after.
  • You see, OneTake is the world's first AI video editing agent.
  • It turns raw, terrible footage into a professional presentation like this one
  • So the changes are that this style has the title of the segment, the current segment at the top,
  • and only one word at a time inside of the video.
  • So this is the Minimalist style.

Impact style preview

  • And then the second different video style that is shipped today is Impact.
  • So I'm gonna shift to Impact.
  • Hi.
  • I'm Sébastien Night, founder of OneTake AI.
  • I am recording this video so you can see a before and after.
  • You see, OneTake is the world's first AI video editing agent.
  • It turns raw, terrible footage into a professional presentation like this one.
  • Look, I spent no time on this presentation that you are watching.
  • I just recorded a very imperfect video in a single take and clicked one button.

Why OneTake AI exists

  • For coaches, experts, and online course creators, video editing is an expensive, time-consuming process.
  • I started OneTake AI because I was frustrated.
  • I'm a content creator.
  • I ran an online coach- Okay?
  • So it's a very different style,
  • that has the text show up on screen in a very impactful, dramatic manner.
  • So we have these two styles that are very well adapted to social media, publishing.

Faster exports

  • You will also notice in this new version that exporting videos is much faster.
  • this was, the...
  • one of our goals that I've mentioned several times in the roadmap,
  • that we wanted exports to go much faster
  • because sometimes it would take typically longer than the length of the video to export.
  • And so if you had a two-hour masterclass,
  • then you could start it and go to bed and come back the next day.
  • So now it is much faster
  • because all video styles now use the new faster export engine.

No more lost edits

  • And we have fixed several bugs in this new edition.
  • There was a small bug where anytime you changed the browser window size while you were editing the script, you were...
  • lost your changes.
  • Also happened if you, clicked outside of the editing.
  • You were editing something, you were making your changes,
  • and then, you by accident, clicked the wrong thing,
  • and what would happen is it would lose your changes.

Save prompts and previews

  • Now it's no longer the case.
  • If you try to navigate away while this is, happening, you will be prevented.
  • It will say, "You have unsaved changes.
  • Do you want to discard or save the changes?"
  • And until you've made your decision, you can't navigate away,
  • so your choices are not-- your changes are not lost.
  • Another bug that was happening sometimes is that when you made a change,
  • OneTake showed you the preview of a previous version instead of the most recent,
  • and that has been fixed as well.

Coming features

  • What we are working on now, first of all, we've shipped compressing videos before upload.
  • We have delivered allowing you to set the editing choices while you are uploading.
  • OneTake keeps the library of the B-roll and images that you've uploaded.
  • It exports your videos much faster.
  • And coming soon:
  • the ability for you to organize multiple projects into folders,
  • to merge multiple videos into a single one,
  • to import multiple videos, not to merge them, but to say, "Well, these are all of the podcasts I've recorded for the month.
  • Please edit them the same." And so you can edit in batch multiple videos.
  • Allowing you to record yourself and your screen at the same time.

Recording and teleprompter

  • So right now inside of OneTake, you can already record yourself
  • By using the camera option.
  • Hey.
  • You can also record your screen by using screencast,
  • which will ask you for permission to pick a window to share.
  • I'll do that later.
  • but there was no option to say, "I want to record my screen like a PowerPoint or a software demo,
  • and have my face show in the corner."
  • So now it's going to be possible very soon.
  • allowing you to edit videos by voice, having a mobile optimized teleprompter.

Smarter video pages

  • We are going to give you a new design for the miniature website that OneTake creates for every video.
  • And, two things that, will be super powerful.
  • One, to show a summary of the important points on screen instead of displaying everything word for word,
  • and the second is to generate AI thumbnails for your videos.
  • This is coming very soon
  • so that you can have even more impact when you're publishing the videos on YouTube, for instance.

Update recap

  • So as a recap, what we've done for you in this update:
  • easier to edit the scripts in the script editor.
  • We are making it possible for you to choose the video format of the export,
  • including non-standard video formats.
  • More social media styles.
  • You have minimalist and impact,
  • which are really cool for your social media,
  • so please give it a try.

Update available now

  • All videos are now exported much faster,
  • and then we fixed a couple of bugs to make everything even better as usual.
  • OneTake eight point seven is already available for you.
  • It's been available since October 14th.
  • So, please log into, OneTake.
  • The first thing I would recommend is that you go check the settings in the Advanced tab
  • to make sure that all of the audio cleanup settings are turned on.

Thanks and next update

  • Thanks for following this session of the Real Time,
  • and I'll keep you updated with the upcoming new amazing OneTake eight point eight.
  • More information to come very soon.
  • Thank you for following this session.
