  • But first, before I show anything, I need to be really clear about something that we people in the tech startup space do that is called environments.

  • There are two separate universes that we are going to talk about today.

  • And the universe that you have been living with so far is what we call production,
  • which means the OneTake app that you are using is the official OneTake tool based on OneTake AI.
  • You log in with your email right now;
  • the current version is 6.12,
  • and every feature that you know is already in there.
  • So every project that you've made so far is on this production app, production environment.
  • That's the universe that all of your content has been living in,
  • and this is the environment that you can depend upon.
  • So if you've put your courses, marketing videos, and blog videos on there,
  • they are safe.

Understanding the Beta Environment

  • Today I'm going to talk about a separate universe,
  • which is the beta or testing environment,

  • which means that we have a whole entire different website for a whole entire different version of OneTake that currently has none of your projects.
  • And that is basically a blank slate which serves for us to do the demo of OneTake 7
  • and everybody that applied to be a beta tester.
  • As we roll out the beta version, you will get access to this new environment,

  • which means that it will not have access to your existing projects.

  • And you also cannot mess up any of your important data, information, videos, courses, or anything

  • because it's like a completely different universe.

  • So it is normal if everything that I'm going to show today, if you're not seeing this in your account right now, that's normal.

  • Because you do not yet have access to the beta version
  • because we are opening it starting in a couple of days.
  • So I'm going to show you things here and interact with the editing agent that you don't have access to yet.

Recent Updates and Features

  • Now, a quick reminder: we meet every time we do an update to OneTake.

  • We released an update called OneTake 6.12, codename Righty.
  • And it had two really cool new changes.
  • So this is something you already have in OneTake right now, which is the history feature,
  • which enables you to cancel changes or restore previous versions of your projects.

  • So if you make a change and then you decide, actually, I prefer the previous color scheme,
  • or oh, I just deleted stuff from my video that I didn't want to delete, or anything like that.

  • With this feature, you're able now to come back in time and restore previous versions.
  • This enables you to do more experimenting without fear.
  • The second cool feature is we released, in that last version, we released Audiograms,
  • which means that when you upload audio content, which you can easily do from your homepage by either clicking the audio button and then recording from your microphone.

  • And you can record here, yeah, like an audio podcast.
  • And then it will be turned into a video,
  • or you can upload the audio from your device, from Dropbox, from Google Drive, or from a web link.

  • So what we released in OneTake 6.12, which you already have access to, is this feature where it turns audio-only content into an audiogram.

  • So an animated video with the sound wave that's moving,

  • and then it uses that to edit the video for you.
  • Now that's the past.

  • Now let's talk about the future.

Introducing OneTake 7

  • So OneTake 7, codename Shenron, will start beta rollout on Monday,

  • and then we'll open access to a few people a day basically over the course of the month of August.

  • What is new in OneTake 7 is we designed it to give you the agentic experience,
  • meaning our vision with OneTake has always been that not only would the AI be able to edit the videos for you,
  • but also that we want you to be able to hire OneTake to do the work for you.
  • Meaning interacting with it as you would interact with your video guy or video girl.
  • So if you had hired a really smart person on your team, then what happens?

  • And I can tell you I've worked with really talented videographers.
  • I'm currently working with someone who's doing a documentary series.
  • And Remy, that's his name.

  • When he has the raw footage, he will send me what he calls like a pre-edit of the video,

  • which is always like 99% of the way.
  • It's almost perfect.
  • And so typically, if I have changes to make, I'm not going to tell Remy.
  • Okay, now sit down here, open your computer, give me access to Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve,

  • and I'm going to edit things on the timeline myself.
  • What I would typically do is I will just shoot a quick text message or a voice message to Remy to say,
  • hey, le videos.
  • Basically, great.
  • The only thing I would do is you have some pink titles in there.
  • I would like the titles to be green instead.
  • Can you just fix that?
  • And then you would do it.
  • So basically our intention with One Take is to save you from the hassle of having to fight through the advanced editor,

  • which I know because we listen to your feedback that the advanced editor has been a bit of the bane of the existence of a few of you.
  • And I see a few people smiling in kind, fond memories of using the advanced editor.
  • So our goal was to make the experience much simpler and easier.

  • So when you will log into One Take Beta, when you'll have that account and you log in,
  • you'll notice that it's slightly different.

  • The first thing you will notice is that on that page you have chat interface right away.
  • So if you're not yet ready to record the video, then you can ask One Take to help you prepare the script.
  • It might ask you a couple of clarifying questions to get there.
  • Okay, so I'll say, well, I want to record a cool video for my.
  • Well, maybe I need to zoom in.
  • I don't know if you can see what I'm typing.
  • A cool video for my YouTube channel to demo 1take7, our amazing new AI for our entrepreneur clients.

  • So you can ask it for help or feedback.

  • From there, it's able to help you write some good content.
  • Now that's in the conversation with it,
  • but we wanted to extend that to your ability to edit projects.
  • So now in the beta, when you go back in and you go to interact with One Take and you open a project,

Interacting with the Beta Version

  • you click on the project, it will open a slightly.

  • So I need to zoom out now because I zoomed in like crazy earlier,

  • it will open basically this conversation where it's showing you a preview of your video and you can ask it to make changes.
  • So let's take a very simple example.
  • This video is called Revolutionizing Video Editing.
  • On taking action, let's say I wanted to.

  • I would like a title that is,

  • trim-leading-and-trailing-silences
  • I will change it shorter and less hypey because it's like revolutionizing something about the benefits of AI so it will be able to make changes.

  • And as it makes changes for you, it gives you.
  • You can see in my history that of this composition that every time it makes a change, it gives me a new player.

  • So I can basically see all the different versions of this video as we made edits.

  • And the old like past versions still remain accessible.
  • So you're still able to.
  • To preview what it was before you made the changes.
  • So that's useful because for instance, we've had that come up as feedback that sometimes you make a change.
  • But would be good to be able to have kind of a maybe side by side type of comparison.
  • Because if you tell the agent, please increase the volume.

  • It's useful to be able to listen to the video with the version with the low volume
  • and then you listen to the other with the higher volume and you're like, okay, this one, like, which one sounds better?
  • Instead of having to undo everything you did.
  • So you're able to do that directly by chatting with the agent and asking it to make changes for you.

Editing with the Agent

  • So let me share a few of the additional benefits.

  • So this way you can get.
  • We still have the advanced editor, but you don't have to have it.
  • So one of the examples is we had someone report to us that sometimes they would want to change how a word is spelled in the entire script.

  • And if you have like a two hour podcast or interview and with somebody that has a complex name or somebody that has an accent.

  • trim-silence-between-words
  • So if I try to pronounce Peter Newell as a French man pronouncing your name,

  • it's very possible that one take will misspell it because of how I pronounce it.
  • And it might write it as a French person would write it.
  • So N I O U L instead of N E W E L L.
  • And then the current experience is with regular video editing software, it would be the nightmare of editing every single line that has this word.

  • With 1 take 6, it would be open the advanced editor and find everywhere that the word is and change it.
  • And in the new agent it would be just like one message where you say actually ptonewell is spelled N E W E L L.
  • And then it will fix it everywhere in the video and it understands things like I want to show less text in the video.

  • So if you had the layout with you plus the text next to you,
  • so you can switch to just you plus the title or without the transcript drawing on screen, being able to change to a different color palette, changing the music volume, and many of those things that you can do manually.

Addressing User Questions

  • Now I'll come to the questions.
  • I see that there are questions in the chat, so I'll come to them in a second.

  • You're also able to ask for additional marketing content or collateral.

  • So if you're having a conversation about a specific video, I did that here.

  • For instance, in the project that I was showing earlier.
  • I typed that in French earlier.
  • I said, well, we did the video and I said, I want to publish on my website and send an email to my customers.
  • Write the email for me.
  • So it wrote the email, this is the email.
  • And then I said, actually, I want to also publish it to my blog.
  • So it was the blog post that is related to the video because it knows what's in the video,
  • so it can write the relevant content that is directly correlated with the video content.

  • So it has the context of what's in the video and can do everything additional that you need.

AI Limitations and Solutions

  • Another really cool thing is one of the issues in the AI space is typically AI tools have two problems that combine and compound themselves.

  • One is AI really wants to help, so it wants to always have an answer to everything.
  • And two is the models sometimes don't have a clear idea of what they are capable to do and what they cannot.
  • And so as a result, if you combine both, if you've used many of the AI tools on the market, you might have noticed that sometimes it will just, to use a kind word, it will just confabulate a little bit or hallucinate and say, yeah, yeah, sure, I did that.

  • Like, yes, sending an email.
  • trim-silence-between-words
  • Totally.
  • The email has been sent.
  • It doesn't have email sending ability, but it just wants to be happy and nice.

  • So we realized that this would be a problem.
  • So we have been striving to get one take to understand what it is able and allowed to do.

  • So I'm going to explain.

Current Capabilities and Limitations

  • There are things that you can do right now inside of one take, like translating a project.

  • I have my video project.
  • I can click on translations, I can create a new translation to a new language.
  • Okay.
  • Currently in beta, as of now, we have not given the agent the ability to trigger translations on its own.
  • The reason is because translations cost you credits on your account
  • and we didn't want while it's in beta, we didn't want the agent to just go crazy and start Spending your credits doing things that you haven't explicitly approved by yourself.

  • trim-silence-between-words
  • So later it will be available, but right now it doesn't have the authorization to launch a translation by itself.

  • So if you're chatting with it and you have edited the video and you say something like, hey, so now can you translate it to German?

  • We've taught the AI model to be able to reply to you.
  • trim-silence-between-words
  • And it will say, well, I cannot do that, but the button is here.
  • And then it will show you.
  • It's at the top of your screen.
  • You click translations and then add a new translation.
  • So if there's something that you want to do inside of one take and you don't know how to do it, then you'll be able to just ask one take to do it for you.
  • And if it's able, it will just do it.

  • If it's not able, then it's going to tell you how you can do it.

Support and Assistance

  • And then the other useful thing there is that if it's not able to do it, and maybe this is not something that is possible.

  • Okay, there's a problem and you should speak to the manager.

  • Let me give you an example.
  • Okay, let's say I'm here and I say, hey, look, I don't have any more translation credits,

  • but I remember that in 2017, after I bought Sebastian's book, he said something about gifts with the book.

  • So I don't know if there were credits in that and AI didn't exist.
  • So what should I do?
  • Which, to be honest, this is quite a confusing question.

  • So I'm not sure what the AI is going to do.

Handling Translation Credits

  • It sounds like you're in a bit of a bind with the translation credits.
  • Since the movie falls from 2017, it might not include translation credits because I wasn't there yet.

  • So it explains that I can click the button at the bottom right, which is here.

  • But also if I just told it to contact support on my behalf,

  • what it's going to do is it's going to reach out to support for me and open.

  • So it added this to the chat and it asked, I'm out of translation credits.

  • I remember receiving gifts with Sebastian's book in 2017.
  • I need assistance to determine if translation credits were part of that and what translator now for continuing translations.
  • So basically what it does is two things.

  • First, it will reach out to support on your behalf if there is something that you're struggling with that it's not able to help with

  • so that you can find someone to give you the answer you're looking for.

  • And second, one of the most frustrating things I've found with like a phone,
  • like if you've ever called a help desk support line, is when you've spent 10 minutes or 15 minutes explaining your problem to a customer service person
  • and then they say okay, so I will forward it to another service.
  • And then when you land on the other service they say hi, who are you and how can I help you?
  • And then you have to start explaining everything again.

Seamless Support Experience

  • So we made it so that if one takes force you to support,
  • it will on your behalf explain the situation to support for you so that you don't have to repeat everything from scratch.
  • So it will give Reda the background info.

  • So right now Reda is logged in to do support right now in the live chat.

  • So if I was working on a project, I tried to change the color seven times
  • and there's a specific thing I'm trying to do, then it would send to a dao.

  • Can you provide them with some help?

  • We try to make things as well integrated together
  • so that the experience can be easy and enjoyable.

Ensuring Safe Editing

  • And we also made it so that working with the agent would not be destructive or dangerous.
  • So if you're making changes and you don't like something, then you can always revert.

  • you can always roll back changes and you can also tell the agent in chat and you can say hey, actually I liked better the version with the old title

Beta Testing Guidelines

  • So before you get to start testing, first a couple of things to understand.

  • Beta is a separate environment from the main universe account that you have,
  • and it's a smaller server as well, so it will be less stable than what you're used to.
  • We are updating it basically daily,
  • so there will be times where we are just shipping an update and the server will restart

  • and then it will be able to do new things that it wasn't able to do, or we are shipping bug fixes or things like that.
  • So this is important to understand.
  • Do not run like critical projects on your beta account,
  • since any data just assume that anything that is on the beta account that we create for you can be wiped out at any moment.
  • It's not like we don't have a goblin sitting on a keyboard ready to hit the delete key.

  • But it's very possible for Sebastian to stumble.
  • That is me.
  • I speak about myself in the third person when I say negative things like that.

  • It's very possible for me to do something like and accidentally reset everything.
