OneTake 8.6: Optimize Your Video Marketing Strategy

  • Welcome to today's session of the "Real Time" with OneTake AI.
  • Today, I'm going to show you what is new in OneTake AI 8.6.
  • But first, a very quick reminder of everything that we've done for you in the previous update,

Recap: 8.5 highlights

  • OneTake AI 8.5, code name Koi.

OneTake AI 8.5

  • In that version, we significantly increased the speed of video exports.
  • So when you're exporting a video with OneTake AI in the two new video styles that we've provided,
  • you're getting it much faster,
  • something like eight to ten times as fast.
  • We have released two new video styles called Influencer and Punchline.

Influencer and Punchline

  • They are optimized for social media,
  • and if you are following OneTake AI on Instagram,
  • you might have seen that the content I publish now is based on these new styles.
  • So how you select them is by simply going inside your OneTake AI account here and your own video.
  • In the video style selection, you can now find two new styles:
  • Punchline for horizontal videos
  • and Influencer for vertical ones.
  • So if I switch to Influencer,

Social media optimization

  • then I have this new style.
  • Bonjour.
  • Je suis Sébastien Night, fondateur de OneTake AI.
  • It is optimized for social media.
  • All the captions and text inside the video are optimized to respect the safe zones on Instagram,
  • for instance, to avoid the captions being hidden by the interface of the social media app.
  • We also gave you a much easier way to save and change your preferences for the style of your videos.

Branding settings

  • So, it's been possible for a long time now to make changes to how you want a specific video to look:
  • by changing the video style,
  • changing the color palette,
  • and inserting your own logo.
  • But what we've found is that even if you're able to say, "Well, I want to save the choice of video style," for example, "to all my future videos,"
  • it wasn't so easy for you to later come in and find all the choices that you've made.
  • So we've put them in the settings menu.
  • So you go to Settings, Branding.
  • Here, in Branding, you have all of your video customization defaults,
  • so you can:

Embed behavior

  • insert your custom logo,
  • pick a video style that will apply to all your future videos if you don't want OneTake AI to choose one every time a video is edited,
  • pick a specific color palette that will be applied to all videos,
  • and then you have the possibility to customize the embed,
  • which is the next thing I was going to explain.
  • So when you embed a OneTake AI video onto your website,
  • instead of using YouTube, Vimeo, or Wistia to host the video and then putting that player inside the website,
  • you can directly embed the video from OneTake AI on the website.
  • And so we have here given you a setting called Embed Behavior.
  • So it is inside of Settings, Branding, and it's here.

Autoplay and fullscreen

  • And you're able to apply this so that every future video that you embed to your website will use those settings.
  • Autoplay means that as soon as somebody lands on the page, the video will start playing.
  • It also means that the video will start playing silently
  • because it's not possible to start playing sound on people's computers without them having interacted with the video before.
  • So the video will start playing silently,
  • and it will have a large zone that says, "Click here to enable the sound."
  • You can decide if you want the video to loop back,
  • meaning when the video ends, it starts back from the beginning.
  • You can show or hide the full screen button.
  • Here's what I mean by that.

Full screen control

  • Let's go see one of my projects.
  • I'll take
  • the demo from last time.
  • So when I'm playing the video—Welcome to this—
  • I have a button here that enables me to set the video to full screen.
  • Sometimes you don't want users to be able to turn the videos into full screen mode
  • because, if this is a marketing video that you have on your website, for example, on a sales page or an opt-in page,

Keep CTAs visible

  • then you want people to still be able to see the call to action buttons of that page,
  • like Buy Now, Sign Up, Subscribe, or Register.
  • And so in that case, for marketing videos,
  • I would suggest you might want to disable the full screen button
  • so that when people play the video, they still have access to the call to action on your page and the buttons.
  • So for marketing videos, usually people would turn off the Show Full Screen button.
  • You can decide if you want to show the control bar or not.

Prevent skipping

  • This is also something that is relevant for marketing videos
  • because when people are able to see the control bar on a video, like they can on a YouTube video, for example,
  • what will happen in a marketing video, like if you're doing a product launch or if you have a video sales letter or a webinar recording replay,
  • is that people will tend to skip forward and try to find the price.
  • What is the price?
  • And they are not going to listen to the ten minutes, twenty minutes, or sometimes forty-five minutes of explanation and value that you bring up
  • before you start talking about the price.
  • And so if you allow people to see the controls, they can skip forward.
  • If you disable this setting, then they will not be able to skip forward.

Per-video customization

  • And then the last is Show Thumbnail,
  • which you can also turn off and have a neutral player.
  • So these are customizable in Settings, Branding,
  • so that they apply to all of your videos.
  • But in a specific video, if you are going to share and publish it,
  • then when you embed the player, which means OneTake AI hosts your videos for free,
  • you can either copy the code that is generated by default and just put that on your website,
  • or you can customize here and change the settings for one specific video.
  • So you can change the color, background, and things like this for one specific video.
  • You can make it autoplay, and then you copy the resulting code.

8.5 bug fixes

  • Of course, you can, as always, set this as the default,
  • but this enables you to do things that are custom.
  • Now, let's go back to everything that was new in OneTake AI 8.5.
  • And hi, Dr.
  • Attila Martin.
  • We fixed a number of bugs.
  • One was that when you imported videos from YouTube,
  • if they were foreign language videos,
  • sometimes YouTube would give OneTake AI a video with their own AI-dubbed version of it.

Visual bug fixes

  • And so, we fixed that
  • so that YouTube always gives you the original
  • that you can then translate or edit as you need.
  • In some specific cases, images did not display properly in the videos.
  • This has been fixed.
  • And there was a black line appearing in some interview videos,
  • meaning if you have two people side by side,
  • there was a slight black line atop the presenters in the video,
  • and we have fixed that.

OneTake AI 8.6

  • So now let's talk about everything that is new in OneTake AI 8.6, code name Frieza Soldier.
  • This new version of OneTake AI, you have access to.
  • You have it already in your account.
  • So if you go to app.onetake.ai, which my team will give you the link in the chat,
  • and you log in,
  • you will see everything that I'm explaining now.
  • The first really cool thing is compression.

Mobile upload improvements

  • So, what used to happen if you were on mobile and uploading a large video is that sometimes, depending on where you are, your...
  • the quality of your mobile connection,
  • it would take quite a while to upload a video
  • because videos, in general, are large files,
  • and 5G, LTE, 3G, whatever the connection, are not very high bandwidth.
  • So you have slow internet on your phone,
  • and you have a large file,
  • so it can take forever.

The upload problem

  • And if it fails, then you have to start again.
  • It's very frustrating.
  • Compounding this problem is the fact that the people that sell you the phones now are also the people that sell you the cloud storage.
  • And so ever since Apple has started selling everybody, "Here's a subscription to iCloud because your phone is full,"
  • they don't have any incentive to record videos in an effective manner.
  • So their videos have ballooned to gigantic size per minute.
  • And so, what happens is it is very, very frustrating nowadays to upload a full-size video from the phone online.

On-device compression

  • So here's how it's gonna work now.
  • When you upload a file to OneTake AI...
  • I'll screen share.
  • If you have a large video, then when you start uploading it...
  • I'll pick a large file.
  • When you start uploading it, instantly OneTake will recognize it,
  • and there will be a compression step.
  • Here you can see, compressing video.
  • Compressing video.
  • You can see that it's at 40, 50% already.

Save bandwidth and time

  • And this will happen on my device
  • before the data is sent over the Wi-Fi or cellular connection.
  • This is gonna save you a ton, ton of money
  • if you are on a data plan.
  • And then, the video, it gets uploaded and, encoded, and then, OneTake starts editing it.
  • So this makes the process much faster and more enjoyable, more efficient for you
  • if you have a restricted bandwidth
  • or if your phone records extremely huge files.
  • And it works...
  • I always say your phone because most people need it on the phone,

B-roll and large files

  • but from your computer also,
  • if you get an SD card from your camera that has a huge file,
  • then the upload will go much faster with this new process.
  • And OneTake also automatically compresses any B-roll
  • because B-roll is limited to 50 megabytes,
  • but if you have very large videos and you want to use them as B-roll,
  • then OneTake will Compress it so that the upload goes fine.
  • Now, one positive, really cool byproduct of this compression system is that,

Uploading long recordings

  • I'll give you a use case that used to happen to me and maybe has happened to you
  • if you have long videos.
  • So for example, when I do the real time live demos like today or when I do a webinar,
  • I will have a recording that might be 30 minutes long, 45 minutes long, sometimes two hour long...
  • two hours long or three hours long,
  • and I would upload it in OneTake,
  • and OneTake would go through the uploading step and show me uploading process
  • and then encoding,

Unwanted subtitles

  • and after it's finished encoding,
  • then it would show me the editing process and the possibility for me to make changes to the preset.
  • The frustration is that when I upload the file, which is a large one,
  • I know that this is the recording of the webinar.
  • It has a ton of slides,
  • and maybe I don't want subtitles in this video
  • because I have so many slides in the recording from Zoom.
  • but then while the upload is going, which takes several minutes, could take 15 minutes,

Edit settings during upload

  • I go do something else,
  • and by the time I come back to this window,
  • everything has finished, including the editing,
  • and I didn't think to uncheck add subtitles.
  • So now I have a video with subtitles, and it's...
  • and, yes, we want to make that much easier.

Review settings instantly

  • So now as soon as you select the video and it's compressing and then uploading,
  • you can already edit the preferences.
  • So I'll show you what that looks like.
  • If I come back inside of OneTake, home,
  • and I start uploading my large video,
  • instantly when it's already compressing,
  • I can still start reviewing the settings.
  • And for example, for this video,
  • I can say, okay, yeah, actually, I want to add subtitles.
  • I want a music track.

Save settings as presets

  • Maybe I don't need the gaze correction on this video.
  • Usually, these are the two that I always check: the subtitles and music.
  • Sometimes I will add the gaze correction for my videos.
  • Sometimes I need the B-roll as well, and then it's all good.
  • Now I can let OneTake AI cook, and it's going to do the work.
  • It's going to notify me when the editing is finished.
  • So that's all good.
  • So now you're able to review the settings right away as soon as you upload,
  • and then you can say, "Well, I want to save the settings for my future videos,"
  • which means that I will not have to do this step again.

One caveat

  • So, Bastien, just to add to that,
  • there is one caveat:
  • the later section of translations and shots are clickable and only selectable once the upload of the file is completed.
  • Okay.
  • That's how the system works, and that's one thing that needed to be called out.
  • Okay.
  • Thank you, Pritish.
  • I am going to now show something different.

Custom media library

  • One second.
  • Another thing that's really cool inside of OneTake AI 8.6 is the media library.
  • For a while now, you've had the possibility to add B-roll to your videos.
  • One of the first things that we were asked when we created this feature where OneTake AI adds B-roll to your videos was,
  • "Is it possible to add some custom images?"
  • Because I'll take two use cases.
  • One is a OneTake AI user, I think it's Cesario, who has a lot of medical content.
  • And so if he is talking about something that is a technical term,

Upload your own clips

  • he wants some very specific images to be shown,
  • and the royalty-free images that OneTake AI might automatically insert, while they would be visually appealing and relevant to the theme, might not be exactly medically accurate to the exact things that he is describing.
  • And so, in this case, he is able right now to upload his own files and say, "I want this clip to correspond to this sentence because it's my clip and I know this is exactly what shows what is being said."
  • Another example is my use case
  • where I do a lot of workshops, I do conferences,
  • and so in my videos, if I talk about doing workshops and conferences,
  • OneTake AI would be able, from its huge stock of royalty-free videos and images, to insert an image of a conference or a workshop.
  • But of course, in the library, there is no proof;

Saved B-roll library

  • there is no recording of my conference,
  • so it's not possible to have my image show up automatically in the video unless I upload it.
  • And so now we made it possible for you not only to upload it,
  • but also that everything you upload as a B-roll element is saved into a library of content.
  • So I'm going to show you.
  • this is the replay of OneTake, eight point four.
  • So if I go to Edit Script
  • and I click Edit on the sentence, "Welcome to this session of the Real-Time with OneTake AI,"
  • I'm able to click Add B-roll.

Stock and AI visuals

  • And what you've had up until now is the ability to find something from a stock image,
  • which you would use this tab if you know what the visual is that you want to show.
  • So if I wanted to have a warm family embrace,
  • then I can find one like that, okay?
  • And you had the second tab, which was the AI prompt,
  • which is if you knew the feeling but you didn't know the visual.
  • So you know you want to show the pride at your children's achievements, right?
  • You know that's the feeling that you want to evoke in that part of the video,
  • but you have no idea, like, what should the children be doing?
  • What should the adult be doing?

Imagine the escape

  • So you would just explain the feeling,
  • click Generate,
  • and OneTake AI would look for a visual that makes sense here.
  • And here we have the little girl going down a water slide, I think,
  • with the happy mom, who's apparently also going down the water slide.
  • Oh, no.
  • Okay.
  • So, we have footage here, and we can use it here.

Suggested visuals

  • Now, these are the videos that OneTake AI suggests.
  • But what if I wanted to use my own visuals?
  • Well, now you have two tabs: Upload and Library.
  • My library already has elements because I have uploaded content here, but I'll...
  • Yours is going to be empty as of today, but you're going to upload.
  • So now you need to first describe the thing that you are uploading.
  • Why?
  • Of course, you can type A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
  • That would not be the best idea for two reasons.

Name your clips clearly

  • The first one is, if you just call all of your personal B-roll A, B, C, D, E, F, G,
  • then next week, next month, next year, when you want to find a specific clip,
  • good luck finding it.
  • It's going to take forever.
  • So if you have named it in a very clear, descriptive way,
  • it will be easier to find.
  • The second is, making the description as keyword-rich and clear as possible will also make it possible for OneTake AI later—it's not the case yet, not in this version—
  • but later OneTake AI will be able to pick from your media library the most relevant B-roll to use
  • while it is editing a video.

Describe uploaded clips

  • So here, if I'm going to upload a video of myself giving conferences,
  • I will specify:
  • this is Sébastien Night as a keynote speaker at conferences, workshops, and seminars with a smiling audience,
  • which I do have, by the way, this smiling audience.
  • I don't know.
  • I do have this specific video, is what I mean.
  • So I'm going to pick the file.
  • Let's see.
  • So you can take something from your computer or phone, from Google Drive, from Google Photos, if you have the direct link to the file, or from Dropbox.
  • Here, I'm going to import it from my computer, which I have.

Upload and insert

  • Sébastien.
  • Yes, I have...
  • Yep.
  • It's going to import this clip.
  • My B-roll will be added automatically once the upload is finished,
  • so I'll give it a second.
  • And now I will have this clip inserted in this video.
  • This is the clip.

Clips match requested length

  • I'm talking at a workshop,
  • and then you will see me on stage,
  • things like that.
  • So the original clip I have is, I don't know, maybe more than fifteen seconds,
  • but when you insert it, it matches the length that you request for it to match.
  • Okay?
  • So I'm going to use this.
  • So now it is used in this video,
  • but it is also now inside my library.
  • So if I go to Library in the left-hand menu,

Library permanence rules

  • I can see that one of the elements in my library is now this video that I just uploaded with the description that I input.
  • And I can change the description.
  • I can rewatch the video.
  • What I can also do is remove something from the library,
  • but just to be clear, we've made it so that you can remove things from the library if you don't want to use them in future videos.
  • But removing them from the library is not going to affect existing videos that use this B-roll.
  • So we made it so that if you remove it from here, you can't insert it in future videos,
  • but the past videos that already used this clip still have it.
  • Because this is one of the things that we keep as a rule: make sure that doing things in the future doesn't break things that you've done in the past,
  • so it will not break your existing videos.

Search and upload rules

  • And they are searchable,
  • so if I remember that there's a video where I was doing yoga, I can search for yoga and find the specific video that was in the list.
  • So this feature is going to help you a lot in reusing your content,
  • and in the future—it's not the case yet—but in the future, we'll make it possible for OneTake AI to know automatically which pieces to put in which parts of your videos.
  • One thing that I will bring up is that if you just go directly to the library, you are not able to upload a file into the library itself.
  • Because if you are using an image or a video, it is in order to use it as B-roll inside of your content,
  • so it's possible to upload it only directly inside the content, and then it shows up in the library.
  • So if you go to your own library and you look for the upload button, there's not going to be an upload button here,
  • because uploading the file here would do nothing.
  • It's going to be only when you are editing a project and you add it to the project that it is reusable in the library for future projects.

Quality of life updates

  • And then we have a number of quality of life improvements in OneTake AI,
  • the first being slightly related to what we just talked about in terms of B-roll.
  • You can now insert royalty-free images directly into OneTake AI in addition to B-roll.
  • So for a very long time, for several years, you've been able to insert your own images inside of a OneTake AI video.
  • So you just hit edit, select a sentence that you like,
  • and then click the image button.
  • But before, you could only upload your own images.
  • Now, you can also select from a huge library of free, royalty-free images.
  • And so if you're looking for a mother and daughter on a beach, you can find them.
  • Okay?

Rights and audio policy

  • If you're looking for children playing baseball at sunset, you can find that, right?
  • And so you're able to find exactly the image that you need for your video.
  • These are royalty-free,
  • and you can use them in commercial projects,
  • meaning you can use any of OneTake AI's B-roll, music, or images for your content videos, your ads, your online courses.
  • You can use them without having to be concerned about commercial use in your content.
  • And another big change is that up until now, when OneTake AI was removing the background noise, it kept your voice and any music that was in the video.
  • This was on purpose because we had so many people that told us they edited yoga videos, sports videos, or meditation videos where the music was a part of the experience.
  • So when they recorded the yoga workshop, they had a stereo player there playing some background music during the breathing exercise,
  • and they wanted to have both the sound of the breathing and the sound of the music in the final video as well.

Music vs clean audio

  • However, for the majority of users, the music is most often a problem more than something that you want.
  • So, for example, if you record...
  • I'll show you something that I published on the Instagram account.
  • So if you don't follow it, you can see the link.
  • I'll put it in the chat.
  • And also, Pritish, can you, with the replay, make those Instagram links available in French and English?
  • 'Cause since I use OneTake AI to edit the content that I put in the reels there.
  • So I'll show the same video before and after.
  • So this is the video filmed in a hotel lobby,

Noisy recordings problem

  • so there is the sound of the music from the bar and the people talking.
  • As a coach, this sucks when a client shows up to their session and it's like the last session never happened.
  • You said something last week, you said the same thing the week before,
  • and here you are today repeating the same stuff again.
  • This also happens with new clients.
  • And this is before, and now here is the after.
  • In OneTake AI 8.6, I would get this.
  • For every new person, you have to walk them through the same first steps,
  • and it just gets tiring.

Clearly audible difference

  • After a while of this—okay?
  • You can hear the difference.
  • Now, the people watching the replay of this live session maybe won't hear the difference
  • because I put the replays inside of OneTake AI,
  • so OneTake AI is going to remove the background noise from the before as well.
  • But the difference is very audible.

Audio demo setup

  • I wonder if there is a way we could...
  • Pritish, actually, I will give you an Instagram link of the same reel with and without the voice noise removal,
  • so that you can put these with the replay.
  • Because people watching the replay are just gonna be like, "No, the sound is perfect before and after."
  • They won't know.
  • Yeah.
  • So yeah.
  • So now you have OneTake AI removing this background music and the breathing noises.

Removing distracting sounds

  • And by breathing noises, we mean if you're using a lapel mic, handheld mic, or a studio mic,
  • you might have just the sound of you catching your breath.
  • You might have the sound of the explosive letters like the P and the T.
  • If you're speaking into the mic, they can be very annoying to people with headsets.
  • And you would have just regular breathing,
  • which is also something that people don't really like to listen to if they have headphones on.

Real Time recordings sound polished

  • It's always funny because when I'm talking about the breathing noises,
  • I try to make breathing noises so people doing the live session can hear it when I say the P and the T.
  • It's disagreeable.
  • But again, if you're watching the recording of the Real Time, it will sound fine
  • because OneTake AI edits the recording for me.

Check audio settings

  • so where is the setting?
  • Because this update is turned on by default for a new account.
  • But if you have an account that has existed for a while, you might need to check that it's turned on.
  • So you go to Settings in the menu here,
  • then you go to Advanced,
  • and here you want all three of those to be turned on.
  • So Background Noise Removal should be turned on.
  • Remove Distracting Sounds, which is the new feature, should be turned on as well,
  • and Centering Audio Balance should be turned on.
  • So if you have an old account, it is possible that in the past, for a video that you did this one time, you turned off some of the audio remastering settings.

Enable audio features

  • We found that whenever somebody complains that OneTake AI, I don't know, didn't make the audio amazing, it's because they had turned it off and forgot it.
  • So I think it's a good practice to just go, if you're watching me right now, just go to app.onetake.ai, check your settings,
  • and make sure that these are turned on.
  • The quality difference is huge, so you should take advantage of this amazing feature.

Restore silent segments

  • Another quality of life update: we had this case with users who wanted to upload videos that had already been edited somewhere else,
  • and these videos had silent sections, like an intro with a logo or just a slide where nobody's talking for a while,
  • and then they wanted to add an image in this moment, like a translated slide, for example.
  • But the thing is, OneTake AI typically, if there is a silent segment like that in a video,
  • OneTake AI will just remove it.
  • So you want to put it back in
  • and then add some B-roll during the silence.
  • This is now possible.

Edit script to restore silence

  • So in that case, what you would do is let's take this recording.
  • Let's say I'm here.
  • I look at Edit Script at the top right here.
  • I click Edit,
  • and I can see that here there is a ten-second silence—well, nine point three seconds of silence—that was removed.
  • I can put it back, right?
  • It's removed, so I can click this button and put it back.
  • So now the silence is back.

Insert images during silence

  • And during these nine seconds, I can insert B-roll or an image, whatever.
  • I can select any image.
  • So now I can have this image show for the first nine seconds,
  • and then when the voice starts, the video starts.
  • So this is what's new feature-wise,

B-roll and preview fixes

  • and then let's start with some of the cool bug fixes in this new version.
  • Some users had encountered an issue where they asked OneTake AI to make a change to the video,
  • and then it made the change, but also, at the same time, removed all of the B-rolls from the video.
  • This has been fixed, so this was not the expected behavior, of course.
  • There were also a couple of cases where some users would get the finished video.
  • They were getting a video not found error instead of getting the preview of the finished video.
  • We have fixed this as well.

Improvements you can use

  • So we have made a lot of improvements in OneTake AI in the last couple of versions,
  • and you'll see that it is quite amazing.
  • You should go and try it today.
  • And just to let you know what we are working on in the near future.
  • So this has been delivered: compressing videos before upload,
  • setting the editing preferences while the compression or uploads are going.
  • Creating a B-roll and image library of the content that you upload
  • so that it's easy for you to reuse.
  • Faster video exports are already here for two new video styles: Punchline and Influencer.

Auto project organization

  • For the legacy video styles, we are migrating them over the next few versions.
  • And then you will soon have OneTake AI organizing your projects into folders.
  • Some of you have many videos.
  • It will be very practical and helpful.
  • And also, this will help when you upload multiple files at the same time.
  • So that OneTake AI puts them in the same folder
  • and edits them the same way.

Smarter imports and exports

  • For OneTake AI to track video analytics and voice-driven video editing,
  • you already have a voice mode in OneTake AI.
  • We have a really cool experience that is coming.
  • OneTake AI auto-importing content from Zoom and Dropbox.
  • Summarizing the text,
  • because right now, OneTake AI, when it shows text, shows all of the transcript as subtitles or text on the side.
  • And having OneTake AI be faster and smarter with customizable skills like you've been able to use in things like Claude, for example.
  • Other things that are coming down the road include the ability to export the video in multiple formats simultaneously.
  • So for example, to say, "I have this video, I want it to be horizontal on YouTube, vertical on TikTok, square on Instagram at the same time,"
  • and for OneTake AI to be able to do this for you.

Batch imports and automation

  • We're making OneTake AI able to anticipate your next action
  • so that you save a ton of time.
  • And then what's coming very soon is the ability to import multiple videos as a batch.
  • So you can say, "I have five episodes of my podcast.
  • Here are all five.
  • I want them edited the same way so that they are consistent,
  • and I only have to do this once.
  • I don't need to do one upload, wait for it to be done, upload a second one, and so on.
  • So this is what is coming down the road for OneTake.
